History
In July 2007 Bill and Annie Malone helped a young
father survive a suicide attempt (from hospital emergency, to rehabilitation,
through effective mentoring, and onto restoration and self-sufficiency). From
that, we decided to organize under what we felt was an appropriate title,
"Operation Living Hope" in August of 2007. We ourselves went through recovery
from that experience, as we were our own first clients. Along the way we have
initiated family events and programs to prevent domestic violence and addictions
with objective to promote peace in homes.
Our compassion for the afflicted (in bondage to poverty,
homelessness, hunger) grew. In May of 2010 we set up a thriving food shelf in
North Minneapolis to alleviate hunger in that area and outward. In early 2011 it
had become more than a food shelf.
Now our team educates and provides new beginnings with good nutrition and
partners with folks whose lives are on the brink, giving ourselves to lifetime
friendships.
